Job description
We currently have a full-time position available for a Parts Counter Person at our Truck Shop location in Saint Leonard, NB.
This position involves working in the Parts Department in a support role in all areas, front or rear counter, supplying the shop with parts as needed, and supporting the on-road Salesperson. The Parts Counter Person works in collaboration with the service department and management team. This job requires physical strength, including heavy lifting, frequent bending, and working in tight spaces.
Responsibilities and requirements:
- Process orders to meet the delivery schedule
- Provide parts to shop mechanics
- Maintain inventory of incoming, stored, and outgoing goods (receiving & shipping)
- Document all movement of parts/materials using appropriate paperwork
- Make arrangements with the carrier for any shipments required to ship outside the carrier
- Perform cycle counts
- Pack products on pallets to avoid any damage
- Review packing slips on all supplier orders ensuring accuracy; reporting damaged products or shortages to Dept Manager immediately
- Ensure the products are put away in the warehouse once received from the supplier
- Physical lifting required
Qualifications:
- Bi-lingual (French/English) is a must
- Parts experience would be an asset
- Forklift Operator Certification preferred (training available)
- Valid Driver’s license
- Basic Computer Skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Commitment to a safe workplace
Schedule:
- 9-hour shift
- Monday to Friday
