Job description
We currently have a full-time position available for a Heavy Duty Tow Truck Operator at our Hartland location.
The Heavy Duty Tow Truck Operator is responsible for safely load, unload, and transport vehicles using a tow truck. This can be a physically demanding position.
Responsibilities and requirements:
- Operate tow truck to transport heavy vehicles safely to designated locations.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before towing to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Perform basic mechanical tasks on vehicles when needed
- Maintain accurate records of services provided, including vehicle condition and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Respond to calls promptly and professionally.
- Keep the tow truck clean and well-maintained, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the tow truck.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in commercial driving or towing is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
Schedule:
- Full-time position with schedule weekends off
- Available to work flexible shifts
- On call shift
