Job description

We currently have a full-time position available for a Truck Mechanic at our Salisbury location.

This is an excellent opportunity for a team player with a contagious can-do attitude in the workplace. We’re looking for a diesel mechanic responsible for the repair and maintenance of large transport trucks. This is a physically demanding position that requires the candidate to be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities and requirements:
  • Repairing and replacing parts and components of commercial truck systems including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
  • Inspect and test engines to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Estimate parts and labour costs
  • Perform scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance service
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Review work orders and discuss work with Service Advisor
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Qualifications:
  • Truck Mechanic License preferred
  • Previous dealership experience is considered an asset
  • Strong computer diagnostics & repair skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Schedule:
  • 9-hour shift
  • 5 days week shifts
  • Possible overtime
